Socratic Seminar Student Generated Thought Provoking Questions Due on 4.24.15 by 7pm

You know what to do. Please post your questions about the text your leaders, Cassidy and Yover, sent you to this post no later than 7pm on Friday, April 24, 2015.

Reflecting on our class and personal goals from the previous Socratic Seminar, please note that your questions should be thought provoking. With that said, as you refine the questions you create, you don't have to have a lot of convoluted words in your question, or create a follow up question to your first question for it to be high level quality. You only need ONE question that is clear and of course deep. Please DO NOT write two questions as one. Those students who have done that will loose points.

When a question that is presented by the leaders has to be translated, rephrased and reworded several times, that means that you put too many words and/or ideas into one question. Keep it clean, simple,  DEEP and to the point.

Reminder: Also, we need to make sure that you speak loudly, clearly and always give eye contact to the person you are responding to. Always be ready with a response (i.e. question format, clarity of a previous statement, summarizing what someone else said, clearing up misconceptions, building on someone else's ideas/thoughts, analyzing/critiquing/incorporating evidence from the text, etc.) when someone calls on you. Please note that I may add another level to the circle at the next meeting. Lastly, remember to select a new partner for Monday.

Happy Thinking! :)
